The Future’s Bright, It’s Green and White: Celtic Duo Announce Themselves

TOMOKI IWATA and Yuki Kobayashi played from the start for Celtic on Sunday afternoon and strolled the game.

The Celtic duo put their best for forward in a blistering first half that saw Celtic go four goals ahead. A brace from Matt O’Riley and a goal a piece for Kyogo and Maeda put the bhoys out of sight early on.

Killie got a goal back before the end of the first half, but it would just be a consolation.

Iwata is tentatively making an impact in this Celtic side, getting more game time as the season progresses. Kobayashi has to dislodge the partnership of CCV and Starfelt which will be no easy task, but if he continues to show promise like at Rugby Park, it’s only a matter of time.

The depth of the Celtic squad is incredible at the moment. Not to have Jota, Hatate or CCV in the squad at all and still blowing away the opposition can’t be underestimated.

As we head towards the final stage of the season, good signs for next season are already emerging. And that’s not even touching on the fact both young bhoys Vata and Summers got game time on Sunday afternoon.
