Brendan Rodgers is reportedly on the brink of accepting the position of Celtic manager, with the club’s ambitious vision playing a significant role in his decision-making process.

If the deal goes through, Rodgers is expected to be one of the highest-earning managers in Celtic’s history. His previous wages were reportedly as high as £2.2m per year, and he has been guaranteed a bumper contract with substantial bonuses on offer. [The Sun]
A different report in The Sun on Monday night said that Rodgers’ salary would match what he’d receive in the Premier League.
Importantly, Rodgers has also been promised ‘major transfer resources’ to ensure Celtic’s continued success. With the club on the verge of reporting record annual revenue and another year of guaranteed UEFA Champions League cash, the spending power of the football department is significant.
Mark Lawwell is working away in the background already, with a big summer ahead for the Hoops. Hopefully, the former City Group employee will offer some continuity in the transfer department, especially with Rodgers’ mixed transfers in his last stint at Celtic.
The length of the contract offered to Rodgers, should he accept the job, is currently unclear, with no reports suggesting how long the Irishman will initially be offered. During his first spell at the club, he signed a 12-month rolling deal before signing a 4-year deal with the Scottish club.
