The Dreaded Two Words Most Celtic Fans Don’t Want to Hear

Celtic are still looking for their next manager of the football club over three months after Neil Lennon left the building.

They held out and bent over backwards for Eddie Howe but when it came time to sign on the dotted line, Eddie pulled the rug out from underneath Dermot Desmond.

Celtic should never have allowed this to happen. Giving the Englishman so much time and scope without putting anything in place contractually was a monumental misfire.

As we scramble to find out who Celtic are in advanced talks with over the vacant role. The name being mentioned the most is Ange Postecoglou.

However, we’re not even 24 hours removed from Howe’s disastrous finale – things can quickly change.

FI have this morning mentioned that Martin O’Neill has been pushing for the dreaded two words the majority of the support don’t want to hear – Roy Keane.

His former Republic of Ireland assistant is on the lookout for a new job but fans are not at all receptive to Roy coming into the club.

His chance came and went in 2014 and he’s been out of the management game for a long time.

Celtic have a massive PR battle on their hands to present any new manager – Keane would only be box office for the media and while it would make our jobs easier, as Celtic fans, we could hardly imagine a less palatable appointment.
