The Clear-Out Begins: Latest Transfer Development Spells Good News For Rebuild – Opinion

As we approach the January transfer window in recent weeks, players are beginning to be linked with moves away from Parkhead.

The latest being goalkeeper Vasilias Barkas, with reports coming out earlier today suggesting that the 27-year old, who joined just 18 months ago, could be set to head to either Turkey or back to Greece as the clear-out at the club begins.

This news spells good news for Ange Postecoglou and the Celtic support, with a much-needed clear-out getting underway of the deadwood within the Hoops squad, which has been evident this campaign due to the lack of quality and depth in certain games.

With players such as Barkas and Albian Ajeti expected to exit the club next month, it will also open up more room for Ange to bring in additions to his squad, which can only spell good news for the former Socceroos boss.

For once, the club appears to be underway, working hard on transfer business in preparation for the window to open on January the 1st.

The month ahead could be crucial for not only the season but also going forward into next campaign with Postecoglou continuing to develop the first team.

Fingers crossed we can see plenty of movements heading into the winter transfer window.
