It’s looking more and more likely that some new cavalry will arrive to bolster Brendan Rodgers leaky defence. We expect an announcement pretty soon about the signature of Marvin Compper from Leipzig.
Let’s assume Compper is the only defender that Rodgers signs in this window. Let’s also assume he gets straight into the team. Which center-back should be dropped. Boyata seems to have the biggest target on his back but Jozo’s mistakes cost Celtic big at Tynecastle.
Some Celtic fans feel both should be dropped and Ajer should get a run in the team. Sviachenko’s days appeared to be numbered too for some reason. Bitton has been found out at times, he has also put in some good performances at the back when you consider it’s not a natural position for him.
