LIEL ABADA was great as Celtic booked themselves into the next round of the Premier Sports Cup, scoring two goals on the night.

His brace came from some great movement in and around the box, which enabled him to create some space for himself before hitting the back of the net. As the winger looked for his hat trick, he came so close, hitting the post before Kyogo tucked home the rebound.

Ange Postecoglou has admitted he’s pleased with Liel Abada’s development and praised the young player’s attitude. Speaking live on Premier Sports after the match, the Celtic manager said;

“He’s a great kid. He wants to learn, and he wants to improve. There are still areas where he can improve; that’s the reality of it.

“He took his goals well today and should’ve had a hat trick in the end.”

Liel Abada is only going to get better and better, he’s still a young player and has lots of development to do, but he’s certainly shown his potential. His passing was frustrating at times tonight, but no one is going to complain when you net a brace!

Abada will be keen to continue impressing the manager as he attempts to tie down a regular starting spot.
