Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol has claimed he has spoken to someone actually involved in the negotiations between Arsenal and Celtic and the deal is at a standstill over £2million.
Listening to the English perspective on this transfer deal is pretty hilarious at times.
Kaveh is most likely talking to the Arsenal camp and he describes how the person helping to negotiate the deal is ‘pulling their hair out’ because it’s just over £2million.
Sky Sports pours so much money into English football and their clubs and fans brag about the cash available down south in comparison to Scottish football. Seeing one of their top six sides struggle to meet a valuation for a Scottish player they so desperately want is certainly amusing.
It seems as if they’re so close to stamping their feet.
As cited by RecordSport, Kaveh Solhekol told the Transfer Show: “I was speaking to someone who is involved in the negotiations and they were pulling their hair out.
“They say this deal is at a standstill because of just £2million.
“That is all that’s stopping it from happening – Arsenal and Celtic arguing over £2million.
“To put that into context, £2million is about the cost of a house near Arsenal in the north of London.”
So, it’s as you were in the Tierney chase. No bid has been accepted as of yet and the player continues his recovery off the field from a double hernia operation.
