It feels like the European Championships ended just last week but already, another international break is upon us.
The footballing season began only a month ago, but it is now time for players to jet off and play for their countries.

Auston Trusty, Liam Scales, Adam Idah, Anthony Ralston, Kasper Schmeichel, and Viljami Sinisalo are a few Celts who have been called up to represent their nations this month. Another is young Marcus Gill.
Just 17, the ‘keeper has been called up by Ireland under-19s for their games against Kazakhstan, France, and Slovenia over the coming seven days.
Gill is just one of two goalies in the squad, so he will likely make his debut for the under-19s during the international break.
He has previously represented Ireland at both under-17 and under-16 levels after switching allegiances from Scotland.
A promising young stopper, he is contracted at Celtic until 2026 but is yet to make his debut for the B team.
Perhaps his latest call-up will put him up higher in the thoughts of Stephen McManus and Jonny Hayes, but there is a promising crop of young ‘keepers at the Hoops just now such as Aidan Rice, Josh Clarke, Joe Morrison, and Gill.
Here’s hoping at least one of them can go on to make inroads into the first team over the next few years.
