It is always a difficult affair when Celtic face Livingston due to the way the opposition set up but but both Greg Taylor and Daizen Maeda on the left-hand side were just too hot to handle.
Last season, the West Lothian side did well against Celtic after they managed to pick up four points from a possible nine against the league champions.
That hasn’t been the case so far this season as Celtic have continued their relentless form in the league having taken a maximum of nine points off David Martindale’s side.
Livingston are never an enjoyable side to watch when they face off against the Hoops as they sit in very deep and make things difficult which was again reflected in the stats after the 3-0 game at Celtic Park which showed that they didn’t have a single shot on target [BBC Sport].
The game was all but finished before half-time as Ange Postecoglou’s side headed into the break 3-0 up and probably did take their foot off the gas a bit in the second half after making a number of substitutions but the left-hand side partnership of Taylor and Maeda played a huge part in the final scoreline.
It was Taylor who opened the scoring for Celtic having previously already scored against Livingston this season. The Hoops defender only just returned from injury at the weekend in the victory at Tannadice and looked a bit rusty but back to his best at Celtic Park.

He’s well in the running for player of the year this year, but a big part of that has been his link up play with the winger in front of him.
Maeda continued his brilliant post World Cup form to get on the scoresheet to double the Hoops advantage.

He like the other attacking players at the club have a great understanding with Taylor which was very effective up against a tight defence.
