EFE AMBROSE has been frozen out of the Celtic side since the start of the season when he didn’t endear himself to new manager Brendan Rodgers.
He was left out of the Champions League squad and has not had a sniff near the first team. The Celtic management has told the player he can move on.
French side Bastia have got wind of the players willingness to move away from Celtic Park and have reportedly offered the defender terms on a two-year-deal
If the player accepts he will bring his turbulent Celtic career to a quiet conclusion. Let’s not forget that the defender was part of the famous side who brought down Barcelona in 2012.
Rodgers is looking to lighten his squad somewhat, wanting quality over quantity and has told a few players that they should look for other opportunities.
While the time is right for him to leave, he should do so with a pat on the back from Celtic fans. He may never have been truly good enough but he always gave 100% for the club.
