Celtic secured their eleventh Scottish Premiership title in twelve years on Sunday afternoon as Ange Postecoglou led his side to a 2-0 win at Tynecastle.
Kyogo and Oh were on the scoresheet for the Bhoys as they confirmed their status as champions for the second season running.
As a result of the title triumph, it is expected Celtic will walk on to the pitch with a guard of honour from their league opponents in the final four league matches.
Obviously next weekend, the Bhoys travel to Ibrox.
Never have Celtic received a guard of honour when entering the field in Govan or from Rangers altogether.
Due to this, it is unlikely the champions will receive one next Saturday although a previous Tweet from Gers captain James Tavernier suggests that he thinks it would be right to do so:
Great respect to @AlloaAthleticFC for the guard of honour today!! 👏🏽👊🏽 True sportsmanship unlike some!! https://t.co/rSrvNqtAFi

When this Tweet was posted, Tavernier’s side had just won the 2015/16 Scottish Championship and got a guard of honour from Alloa.
Going by what was said in the Tweet, Tavernier thinks it is only right to give a guard of honour therefore if his side don’t give one next weekend, there will be some hypocrisy on show from the Englishman.
Let’s wait and see what happens.
