Amid vast summer interest in Matt O’Riley, Celtic are drawing up contingency plans in case of a potential departure.

It was reported yesterday that Shea Charles, Daniel Gazdag, and Tanner Tessmann are on the Bhoys’ list of transfer options should the Dane depart. We now have an update regarding the latter.
A wanted man this window, USA internationalist Tessmann could soon complete a move within Italy.
Currently on the books of newly promoted Serie A outfit Venezia, the midfielder has interest from Fiorentina and Roma.
According to a report from American journalist Tom Bogert in GIVEMESPORT, both clubs are actively in talks to sign the player, who is currently captaining his country at the Paris Olympics.
Nothing has been agreed upon yet, but it should be noted both Fiorentina and Roma have American owners.
If Celtic want Tessmann, they will have to up the ante. After Paulo Bernardo’s permanent arrival, though, it remains to be seen whether another midfield acquisition is required this summer, especially if there are no notable departures.
