Celtic defender Josip Jurnaovic has set his sights on a full sweep of trophies this campaign, as Ange Postecoglou’s side prepare to continue their hunt in the Scottish Premiership.
Last season was a disappointing campaign for all those involved, which saw the Hoops go from trebles to lifting no silverware at all.
However, with an almost complete, new-look squad and manager, this group of players are looking to set their own markers when it comes to success domestically, with Juranovic setting down a marker insisting that he ‘wants to take everything’.
“When I came here, they said to me that Celtic is the club that wants the trophies and wants to take everything,” he said, as quoted by the Daily Record.
“That is my mentality and mindset too. When I came here, I wanted to take everything.
“Also, in the league, I think we need to beat everybody to take the trophy back.”
Like many Celtic fans, the Croatian full-back is also excited to see the new additions from the J-League in action when he lines up alongside them on Monday evening at Paradise, after getting his first glimpse at the trio in training.
“You will see them on Monday! They are good guys and can play really good football.
“They have quality, and it’s because of that they are here. I cannot wait to see them in full action.”
It was clear to see from the 2020/21 campaign that a large majority of the squad had lost their hunger due to a dreadful run of form throughout the season.
But, this group of players have brought a lot of excitement back to the Celtic supporters under Ange Postecoglou.
Having already lifted their first piece of silverware, the Premier Sports Cup, in December, hopefully, the squad is now hungry for more of that success and use that motivation to kick on and start another period of success at the club.
