Once again Charlie Nicholas finds himself with a sole opinion that nobody else at Celtic agrees with. The ex-footballer must have a post-it as a daily mantra that reads, “how can I offend everyone today”.
It is unusual to see a Celtic manager come out and react to a pundit’s comments, but Neil Lennon felt the need earlier today to put Champagne Charlie back in his box.
Now Chris Sutton has had his say.
I’m not sure what Charlie Nicholas is sitting there thinking… but to keep hold of all his best players and bring in another left sider represents a really good transfer window…

Let face it; no Celtic fan thought we would survive this transfer window without losing at least one first-team star. Edouard, Ntcham, McGregor, Christie and Ajer all had rumours circulating about their futures for the whole summer. All the fees were in the tens of millions and with everything that is going on with COVID-19, it is only natural fans feared a sale of at least one Celtic star was on the cards.
It’s too bad Charlie won’t take heed of Lennon and Sutton’s comments and think before he opens his mouth the next time, but we all know that won’t happen.
