Steven Gerrard has just had his watershed Pedro Caixinha moment without even stepping foot in a bus.
The Ibrox manager has bemoaned the lack of 86 minute games instead of the traditional 90 minutes we have all grown up with as the main reason behind his title failure last season.
Chris Sutton read the comments in the media this morning and absolutely rinsed the former Liverpool man for the pathetic nature of his comments.
Reading Steven Gerrard this morning..”Having analysed last season if the games had finished after 86 minutes we’d have won the league, that’s the brutal truth”…
I was under the impression games have always lasted 90 minutes but there you go…— Chris Sutton (@chris_sutton73) August 3, 2019
This was something which was peddled by a lot of Ibrox fans after they watched Celtic win another league title and another treble. Screaming about Celtic’s ability to turn one point into three late in the game. Sorry Stevie bhoy but if that had been a team you were involved in you would simply be saying that’s what champions do.
If the AC Milan Liverpool game in Istanbul finished at half time, Liverpool would have lost the Champions League that year, incredible what can happen over 90 minutes – what do you think?
