Sutton Reacts to Celtic’s Europa Draw

CHRIS SUTTON seems to be cautiously optimistic about Celtic being competitive against Valencia.

The Bhoys were drawn against the Spanish side in the last 32 of the Europa League and everyone will now be doing their homework on the club.

Valencia dropped down from the Champions League, finishing third behind Juventus and Manchester United which is nothing to be ashamed of. The Spanish side even got 8 points in their group which also had Young Boys.

It’s been a long time since Celtic and Valencia have met in European competition. It was the UEFA Cup format when the pair went head to head and the Spanish side went through on penalties at Celtic Park.

The Bhoys will now need to look to strengthen in January if they are to stand a reasonable chance of toppling the Spaniards.

They might have been decent in the Champions League but they currently sit 14th in La Liga and have been struggling domestically.
