Celtic has been busy so far this transfer window, bringing in three players who will be key for success next season is brilliant business.
Especially considering Celtic’s main business has been completed early, fans are still excited to see who the club brings in in the remaining two months of this transfer window.
The manager has been backed to the hill, a pleasing sight for everyone involved at Celtic. The board are 100% behind their man and not afraid to financially back the manager.
Sutton wrote in the Daily Record;
“Celtic have made a £17 million statement. On the back of last season’s title win, I felt it was imperative that the club built from a position of strength. Don’t sit still. Don’t rest on laurels.’
“Full marks to them so far. They have blasted out of the transfer blocks with impressive investment.
“It’s sometimes easy in the footballing world just to toss figures around. But to have outlaid that amount of cash by the first Saturday in July means the two key departments of Celtic are working excellently.
“The footballing department with Ange Postecoglou and his recruitment staff are really on-point here. Identifying areas quickly, and the hierarchy of the club are also doing their bit to support their boss. Taking his visions and funding them.”
However, the Celtic board haven’t spent tens of millions with Ange Postecoglou at the helm. With significant exits last season, Celtic’s net spend sits at just about £8 million.
The scouting to identify these targets, like Jota and Bernabei, is exciting. Hopefully, Celtic scots can continue to pick up many top talents.
The Celtic Board are Pleasing Fans
After a few years of discontent, the board are slowly winning back the fans. Supporters are delighted with the financial backing Ange is receiving, the rare sight is pleasing.
Hopefully, this season, the Celtic hierarchy can get through without causing any reason for the fans to be angry.
