Sutton Calls Out Double Standard After Major Rule Breach

CHRIS SUTTON has shared his dismay at the decision not to punish rugby after the Scottish Government made quite the public spectacle of football’s COVID wrongdoings, giving the game a yellow card after the Aberdeen players breach and Boli Bolingoli.

It has since transpired FOUR academy Edinburgh rugby players were at a house party against COVID rules. The players come into contact with the first team Edinburgh stars, one academy player has contracted COVID-19 and three are in isolation.

HOWEVER…

There are no postponements, no punishments and the squad are allowed to fly out to France to fulfil their fixtures.

It’s a major double standard and it comes off the back of Rugby being allowed test events before football.

Sutton isn’t happy.

Celtic are still waiting to take part in a Celtic Park test event even though they have been prepared for a number of weeks. The Livingston game could have been the time to go for it but because of new restrictions, it has been put off until at least October.
