Celtic are reportedly not keen on parting ways with Luis Palma in the January transfer window, despite growing interest from European clubs and MLS outfits.

The Honduran winger has struggled for game time this season but is set to remain at Parkhead due to the club’s current circumstances.

Since joining Celtic in the summer of 2023, Palma has found minutes hard to come by, making just eight appearances and playing a total of 212 minutes in all competitions this season.
Despite his limited involvement, the 24-year-old has shown glimpses of his potential and could still have a role to play in Brendan Rodgers’ squad.
The decision to retain Palma comes as Celtic deal with injuries and squad depth concerns in wide areas. James Forrest’s extended absence has reduced the manager’s options, leaving Celtic light on wingers.
While the club remains active in the transfer market for reinforcements, they appear reluctant to sanction Palma’s departure without adequate cover.
While January may not be the time for Palma to leave Celtic, the summer transfer window could offer a different scenario. With European and MLS interest reportedly strong, the winger may have opportunities to move on if his role at Celtic remains limited in the coming months.
For now, however, the Hoops are prioritising stability and squad depth as they aim to maintain their dominance in domestic competitions and continue their European campaign.
