Study Shows Celtic Have Youngest Squad In The Scottish Premiership

A study from CIES Football Observatory shows that Celtic, on average, has the youngest squad in the Scottish Premiership this season.

As reported by Sun Sport, the data which was collected in the first six games of the season shows that the Hoops currently hold the youngest average age of 25.32 and 9.9% of the minutes going to players under-21.

At the other end of the table sits Glasgow rivals, Rangers, just behind Edinburgh side Hearts, with an average age of 28.43.

So far this campaign, Ange Postecoglou has put his faith in youngsters, including the likes of Adam Montgomery and Liel Abada, who have been mainstays in the squad regularly featuring either off the bench or in the starting 11.

It bodes well for the future that we host a young squad that is still developing, which will hopefully aid the side massively, moving forward into the future.

Fingers crossed, we can see even more youngsters from the academy earn their chance in the first-team, in the not so distant future.
