Stuart Armstrong Makes Surprise Visit to Former Celtic Teammate

It has been a year since both men went their separate ways but Stuart Armstrong and Erik Sviatchenko were reunited in Denmark on Friday with the Scottish International flying out to watch his pal in the Danish Cup final.

Armstrong was sold to Southampton for £7million last summer and Erik was sold back to FC Midtjylland for around £1million at the same time.

Both were great friends at Celtic and have kept in touch since both left the Scottish Champions.

Stuart got to watch Erik and his side win the Danish Cup against Brondby which went to a tense penalty shootout before Midtjylland were crowned Danish Cup champs.

Both lads were part of the invincible side which will go down in Celtic history. The team went through an entire season without losing a domestic game and won the treble.

Celtic are now chasing their third consecutive treble since that season and have moved on since both players left.
