Neil Lennon has told Celtic fans he expects Vakoun Bayo to be our for six weeks if the player needs surgery after going for a scan.
The striker missed the 2-0 win against St Mirren on Wednesday night with an injury and now looks to be out until just before Christmas.
With Leigh Griffiths still not fit enough to play Celtic have only one striker fit in Odsonne Edouard as they play a run of games up until the international break.
Scott Brown was taken off as a precaution during the win against St Mirren. The player came off in the second half and headed straight up the tunnel.

Neil Lennon will hope the Celtic captain will be ok for this weekend’s semi-final against Hibs.
Most importantly, Edouard will have to be wrapped in cotton wool so we don’t face a striker crisis before Leigh is fit again.
