Anthony Stokes Celtic career looks all but over after it was reported last night that the player has been suspended for his social media exploits at the weekend.

The Irishman vented his frustrations on twitter after being left out the squad for ICT on Sunday before apologising for his outburst.

Celtic manager, Ronny Deila branded the players actions completely unacceptable and the club look like they’ve now taken action against the striker.

Stokes has been on the periphery of the Celtic squad since the start of the season and this recent episode will almost certainly see his Celtic career end next month in the January transfer window.

Cardiff City have expressed interest in taking the former Arsenal trainee on-loan for the rest of the season.
