NIR BITTON has jokingly admitted he would be happy to play in goals for Celtic as long as he was making a worthwhile contribution to the team.

The Israeli international has had to adapt from his midfield familiarity to being an integral part of Rodgers back line but he has taken it all in stride.

Speaking at today’s press conference Nir admitted he’s loving life as a centre back.

My preferred position is centre-back now! Midfielder, defender, goalkeeper, wherever the gaffer plays me I’ll try my best to help the team to a good result.”

Nir Bitton knows he is part of a special side and wherever he fits into the squad he’ll be more than happy to step up.

After looking like he may be on his way out of Celtic at one point earlier this season the defender is enjoying his football.
