STEVEN GERRARD has made the very accusatory claim that Aberdeen don’t try as hard as they do against The Rangers when it comes to playing Celtic.
Aberdeen head to Ibrox to play the second-placed side on Sunday and ahead of that game, Gerrard has suggested the Dons up their game in a way they don’t do any other time of the season.
The Dons have knocked Steven Gerrard’s men out of both cup competitions while Celtic have beaten Aberdeen in a semi-final and final this season.
The claim comes after last week with Hearts again folding under this average Ibrox side. Some clubs have a bogey team and The Rangers appears to be Aberdeen, but don’t let that get in the way of your paranoia Stevie Bhoy!
“Aberdeen play different against Rangers. That’s what I’ve noticed. They certainly raise their game. It seems as if Rangers is their biggest game of the season.
“We’re fully expecting a very tough game, so we’ll have to be at it.”
“That’s the way it looks on the eye. We watched them last week against Celtic and they never laid a finger on Celtic in the semi-final.

“They obviously come to play against Rangers and bring their A game. They’re very physical and they definitely lift their game against Rangers, that’s for sure.
“I’m not saying they don’t raise their game against Celtic but they have found their form definitely against Rangers.
“And having watched them against Celtic a few weeks ago it wasn’t the performance you expect from Aberdeen if you look at their performances against Rangers.”
Does this mean the Ibrox club raise their game more against Celtic than Aberdeen if they are running the bhoys close but find it too hard against the Dons on most occasions?
Gerrard seems to talk for the sake of talking.
