SPFL EGM on Ibrox Resolution Date Set

An EGM has been called by the SPFL and will take place May 12 as the board get set to look at a resumption put forward by Hearts, Stranraer and The Rangers.

The resolution is for the 42 clubs to vote on an independent inquiry into the SPFL proposal which passed after a vote by all member clubs.

The vote wasn’t handled in the best way possible but this is more down to the ineptitude of the SPFL who have shown over the years not to be the cleverest when it comes to handling major issues.

However, The Rangers claim whistleblower information that they say throws the whole vote into question.

If there’s to be an inquiry, The Rangers will have to share their evidence with the 42 clubs and at that point there’ll have to be 75% of clubs voting yes to the resolution for it to pass.

We don’t know Celtic’s position on things as it stands. They have not been privy to any information coming out of Ibrox.

The second placed club seem aggrieved by the vote and it’s outcome.
