It was reported late last night that there would be a meeting taking place today between the SPFL clubs in which the end of the season is likely to be called.
MailSport have delivered some more information on the video conference which is right now currently scheduled for 4pm on Friday afternoon.
Top of the agenda is calling the season with Celtic becoming champions while Hearts get relegated.
All 12 clubs have conceded that football is unlikely to be played this season and calling it will allow them to get their hands on the money they need.
Will Celtic be champions by the end of today?
It’s entirely possible if the decision is reached the SPFL could go for a quickfire announcement shortly after the meeting.
However, RecordSport is reporting the formalities are more likely to see Celtic crowned champions at some point next week. There is still the chance of a legal challenge by a disgruntled club.
The club is likely to be one of the first to announce the decision and we’ll be keeping up to date with today’s meeting.
