Souza Asking Price Revealed as Club Has Bid Rejected

Celtic is keen on bringing Brazilian midfielder Vinicius Souza to the club, with the City Group preferring to strike a deal with the Scottish champions.

A host of other clubs are interested in the player, with Ajax, PSV, Bologna and Club Brugge all keeping tabs on the player.

Fenerbahce is the latest club to make a move for the player, submitting a bid for the 23-year-old. The Turkish side launched an offer of £4.3 million for the defensive midfielder, and however, this was rejected with the asking price of about £8 million.

Lommel, owned by the City Group, would prefer not to sell the player and is hoping to send him out on loan this season.

Will Celtic Be Priced Out Of A Move?

Celtic has already spent big this summer, with up to £10 million going towards Carter-Vickers, £6.5 million about to be spent on Jota, and close to £4 million on Alexandro Bernabei.

The high asking price may put Celtic off the deal, but they could be tempted to try to negotiate a loan deal. Celtic has connections on their side, and the fact that the Belgian club would prefer to loan the player this summer also boosts the Parkhead club’s chances of securing the player for next season.
