FRASER FORSTER snubbed a return to Celtic this summer in favour of staying at Southampton and the Englishman was all smiles on Tuesday has he rejoined his teammates.

The goalkeeper trained with Celtic in June before his loan deal expired. Once he left Lennoxtown, Neil Lennon and his teammates expected Fraser would be back quite quickly. However, when it came down to it, the goalkeeper changed his mind and walked away from a fresh loan deal.

Now with Vasilis Barkas in goals for the bhoys, there’s no chance of a return for the Geordie who has almost certainly played his final game for Celtic.

It’s a shame it ended prematurely and it’s a bigger shame Fraser didn’t want to stick around for our ten in a row bid after Celtic helped dig him out the Southampton reserves.

We move on and so does the goalkeeper who has a tall task ahead of him getting back into the Southampton team.
