It was Stuart Armstrong who got the all important second against Norwich on Friday when the club got back to business in the Premier League.
The former Celtic midfielder picked up where he left off for his club after finding his form and trust from his manager before the shut down.
Armstrong is one of a few Celtic players who’ve made the move to St Mary’s over the years. The club’s scouting system clearly seeing good value and talent in the players at Celtic than some others in the Premier League.
However, one Southampton account online has made the disparaging claim Celtic are their feeder club.
Stuart Armstrong now have four goals in last seven games. The most underrated player in our squad. What a bargain from out Scottish feeder club. #saintsfc pic.twitter.com/imxPWVDtfW

Perhaps they were taking it seriously but underneath the comments show Celtic fans in no mood to be called a feeder club.
Southampton are currently seeking a large loan in order to survive this pandemic and the implications of no supporters through doors. It’s quite troubling that a team getting handed as much TV money as they do struggle to survive.
Celtic bring players on, develop them and sell them for a larger fee. In recent years, we’ve seen Lyon and Arsenal jump the queue and cut out the middle man in transfers. If you look at Edouard and what he’s worth, Southampton wouldn’t have the money nor stature to conclude a deal for the Frenchman — some parent club.
