Sky Sports Shake Up – Commons Dropped and BT Transfer

SKY SPORTS have shaken up their punditry for next season’s Scottish football coverage and there’s no room for Kris Commons according to SunSport. However, no news of the stuttering Kris Boyd being chopped from TV.

Sky Sports are taking advantage of having 100% rights to the SPFL and have decided to bring in some faces from BT Sport. John Hartson will now be covering the Scottish game with the media giants and also Ally McCoist – both who featured regularly on BT Sport.

No sign of Chris Sutton who has transcended Scottish football punditry to become a popular and sometimes unpopular figure for BT Sports in general, it’s likely BT wanted to hold onto Chris as they keep their coverage of the EPL and Champions League.

We will certainly miss Sutton winding people up, and the thought of the former Celtic striker having a mic next to Kris Boyd would have made for compelling television.

Darren Fletcher will also be added to the Sky Sports Scottish pundit team, a strange move considering Darren played his whole career in England.
