Sky Sports Man Delivers Glasgow Derby Prediction

Former Celtic star and Sky Sports Pundit Charlie Nicholas has been known for his negative spin on his old club since taking his place in the media.

The former Parkhead man regularly sticks the boot into the club and shows off to his Premier League pals on the Sky Sports panel.

Because he’s a former Celt he continually gets asked about the Scottish game like he watches it religiously. In reality, he glances over every so often and looks at the league table.

As he makes his League Cup prediction for the Hampden meeting between Celtic and and their Glasgow rivals he does give the edge to his former side but only just.

“It was hardly a surprise to see Celtic and Rangers cruise through their semi-finals against Hibs and Hearts.” Nicholas told SunSport.

“As is stands, the final looks a very evenly-matched encounter.

“There doesn’t seem to be much between either side and they are both in good form.

“We just have to wait and see what the next few weeks bring, in terms of injuries, form and their European involvement.

“If I was to have to make a call on it right now I would go Celtic.

“I would only edge towards them because I think they have more strength in depth.”

Celtic blasted past Hibernian in the day and the Ibrox club similarly walked over a woeful Hearts side to get to the final.

Celtic look much stronger and already have a win over Steven Gerrard’s men this season when they didn’t even need to be at their best to get all three points at Ibrox. It’s simple – if Celtic turn up and play the way they can, they will make it ten trophies in a row.
