Sky Sports: Jordan Larsson and Celtic Make Contact

We were sceptical today when news came out of Jordan Larsson and a potential move to Celtic.

However, Sky Sports journalist Anthony Joseph has confirmed tonight the player’s reps and Celtic have had talks over a potential move.

Jordan has been blazing his own football trail that took him all the way to Spartak Moscow in Russia. The Swede has since been released due to the conflict in Europe and is mulling over his next move.

His dad’s links to Celtic mean there’s always going to be rumours about a potential deal.

But Sky and Anthony appear confidence there has been dialogue since the striker became a free agent.

Jordan Larsson to Celtic?

Talks could mean a lot of things. It could have been as simple as, ‘hey, are you interested’ and then nothing after. Or it could have been taken to Ange for discussions.

Jordan can earn a good deal in a good league, the pull of coming back to Glasgow to follow in his dad’s footsteps could be an appealing or daunting proposition.

Celtic are looking for another striker while also trying to get a move away for Albian Ajeti.

One thing we know for sure, emotional ties or not, the Celtic gaffer won’t sign anyone he doesn’t believe will fit into his system.
