It was reported in other news outlets over the last 24 hours but now Sky Sports is confirming Celtic are in advanced talks to sign free agent Benjamin Siegrist.
The Swiss goalkeeper has been out of contract since the end of last season, weighing up his options, Benjamin has been approached by a number of clubs including Celtic.

In recent days, The Bhoys have become front runners for the goalkeeper’s signature and could look to tie up a deal very shortly.
Siegrist is an excellent shot stopper, and would come in as a backup to Joe Hart. He would be a solid back up goalkeeper for the Englishman and would displace Scott Bain as Celtic’s number two.
Benjamin, 30, knows whatever deal he signs next is likely to be his last major deal. He will be thinking carefully about the ramifications of any move he makes this summer. First team football could win the day if a club comes in last minute for the former Dundee Utd stopper.
However, the player could feel he has the chance of giving Joe a run for his money.
