After the Aberdeen game was moved earlier this month for TV, Sky Sports has followed that up with another fixture amendment ahead of the new season.
The bhoys’ away day to Livingston will now be live on Sky and takes place at 12:30 pm on Saturday September 23rd.
Sky Sports are the sole rights holders to the SPFL and can do as they please when it comes to changing dates and times of fixtures.
It’s nothing new, but it would be a lot better for supporters of the broadcaster’s got together with the SPFL before the fixtures are made public to thrash out the games which will aired.
It would leave less ambiguity and allow fans to make plans in advance with much more confidence.
The SPFL and Sky Sports really don’t take the supporters into account when making decisions.
Celtic are set to begin their title defence at home to Ross County at the beginning of August. Brendan Rodgers’ returning to the Celtic dugout gives next season an added edge.
