It’s derby week in Glasgow, and the eyes of the footballing world are tuning into the city ahead of the big match.
TalkSPORT has already started previewing the match, despite both sides having a midweek game this week, with the first cup action of the season for Celtic and Rangers.
Simon Jordan, a very opinionated pundit, has made a huge prediction regarding the side’s meeting on Saturday. The businessman is expecting Celtic to blow their rivals away and march on to win the league. As quoted by the Daily Record, Simon Jordan predicted;
“I think Celtic will win the league again this year and I think they will hand Rangers a hiding (on Saturday). There were questions about Van Bronckhorst (after the 3-0 in February) and his job wasn’t to get to a European final and lose it, his job was to get there and win it.”
Not many Celtic fans will complain about his prediction, and hope it becomes a reality.
Celtic were brilliant in the first home derby last season, three to the good at halftime. A similar performance on Saturday would be pleasing, but it’s set to be a tightly contested game.
Saturday’s opposition is playing relatively well; however, it can be argued they’re not up to full speed yet. Whereas Postecoglou’s side is fit and firing and is looking to extend their gap at the top of the table to five points.
