‘Sick of it’, ‘Insulting’ – BT Sports Pundit Comes to Defence of Celtic Star

CHRIS SUTTON has had an inadvertent pop at Kris Commons after the question was put to him about James Forrest not being able to hack it in the England Premier League.

Forrest’s former teammate Kris Commons told BBC this week he didn’t fancy James to be good enough to play for a Premier League side and called the midfielder ‘too inconsistent’ for down south.

Well, Chris Sutton is having absolutely none of it and called the claim ‘insulting’ and ‘out of order’.

Speaking with the BT Sports panel before Celtic’s victory over Hamilton today, the former Celtic star did not hold back at all!

“Was that a joke? He couldn’t play in the Premier league?

“James Forrest is every bit as good as Ryan Fraser if not better.

“It’s insulting, I’m sick of it.

“How many players do you want me to name in the Premier League that he’s better than?

“Antonio, Redmond, I could go on all day, it’s insulting.”

Forrest has been on a rich vain o form but had a quieter day at Hamilton as Celtic ran out comfortable winners.

There was a lot of fan outrage at Kris Commons for his take on James Forrest. Many feel the former Celtic midfielder is trying to make a name for himself with inept and idiotic comments that fall right in line with what you would expect from a Sky Sports pundit.
