Shved Scores Again; Celtic Winger on Fire

MARIAN SHVED has continued his rich vein of form for Mechelen on Wednesday evening with the loan Celtic winger grabbing another goal for the Belgian side.

The Ukrainian has come onto a game after a heart to heart with the manager at Mechelen and has repaid the faith shown in him by stepping up his game.

The winger made it 2-0 to his side against RWDM in the Belgium cup before being subbed ten minutes later.

Shved seemed surplus to requirement at Celtic before his loan move and it looked as if he was heading for a new low in Belgian before this resurgence. His attitude has changed and he’s showing why Celtic fans were once excited to see him in a Celtic jersey.

There’s no doubt Mechelen will want to keep Shved this summer. Depending on who is going to be the manager come June might have a big say on the player’s future.

Celtic are crying out for width and lost their way when James Forrest went down to an injury which has kept him out since September.

Should Celtic look to give the lad a chance in pre-season?
