Should be Worried by Sky Sports Pundit’s Latest Prediction?

Usually when we’re talking about Charlie Nicholas we’re defending the club or team against a small minded opinion the former Celtic player holds since packing up for England.

Nicholas regularly puts the team down and predicts us to get beat against any half decent opposition. The thing is, more often than not, Nicholas and his opinion have been proven so wrong. So should we be worried about his latest predictions? Well, if you’re uneasy about the Sky Sports pundit now backing the bhoys, then yes.

Charlie was positive as he spoke about Celtic’s chances of a win against Rennes on Thursday night. Have Celtic battered the pundit into submission with their impressive results in Europe?

“Celtic have already booked their last-32 spot but they will want to send a message to their fans and I expect them to win at home.” Nicholas told Record Sport.

“Leigh Griffiths is getting fitter and was back in the squad last weekend. I’d imagine Neil Lennon will probably let him lead the line unless Odsonne Edouard is of the mind that he wants to play.

“Olivier Ntcham and Tom Rogic might start and there will probably be three or four players who haven’t been regulars of late.

“Rennes were awful last time and I expect Celtic to get another good result against the French side.”

Celtic go into the game with a lot of momentum and with the added bonus of already qualifying. The pressure to make history will be there though. The bhoys haven’t ever finished top of their Euro group or exceeded ten points in either the Champions or Europa League.
