CHARLIE NICHOLAS gets a platform to talk about Celtic because he used to play for the club but nowadays, we’re still wondering why he can spout so much hot garbage when he clearly doesn’t watch Celtic regularly.
Nicholas reported on matchday one Celtic would be too scared to get anything against Rennes on the night – how did that one turn out?
The former striker has given his thoughts on the Cluj game this Thursday and believes Celtic fans should not be looking for revenge and Cluj didn’t ‘fluke’ a result the first time around at Celtic Park.
Charlie speaking like a man who has seen the highlights and nothing else before commenting on that game.
Speaking to Sky Sports the ex-Celt has us in a state of shock after he revealed Celtic should just edge it on the night but the fans will have to be patient.
“Everyone in Glasgow is talking about revenge as Cluj put Celtic out of the Champions League.
“They made it out to be a fluke, but you cannot lose 4-3 and say it is lucky. Cluj are a very clever side – they took on Lazio, who are one of the favourites for the Europa League, and reminded everyone of who they are with a smashing 2-1 win.
“Celtic gained a very good point at Rennes and could have come away with more. The crowd at Celtic Park gives the players another five to 10 per cent and that’s what will be the case here.
“It will not be a rollover, it will be tight but think Celtic will just edge it – it could be late on when the goals come.”
Does it make anyone else nervous Nicholas is tipping us to win the tie?
