Shock Neil Lennon Glasgow Derby Rumour

Celtic are set to do battle with their Glasgow rivals this afternoon but we already know they will be without some key players.

COVID-19 has both Nir Bitton and Hatem Elhamed isolating and Ryan Christie has is out for being in close contact with someone who has contracted the virus. Over and above that, Edouard is just off a self-isolating period having tested positive and is unlikely to play in the game.

The news coming out late last night was Christopher Jullien’s absence from first-team training on the eve of the derby. The Frenchman has missed a month so far with a knee injury but was expected to be back in time for the derby. There are doubts over his inclusion this morning which has given way to a shock Glasgow derby start rumour.

If Jullien is out and Neil Lennon is to go 3-5-2 this afternoon then there is most likely going to be a derby debut for youngster Stephen Welsh. He’s not started a game since Hamilton away last season where the bhoys left it late to get all three points. Many outlets are reporting on the shock move including SunSport.

It would be a massive gamble.
