Shin Yamada Honoured in Brilliant Kawasaki Fan Tribute

It was a memorable day at Todoroki Stadium as Kawasaki Frontale fans paid tribute to Shin Yamada ahead of his move to Celtic.

The striker officially said goodbye to his teammates and staff, with a large banner shown in the stands. The message wished him well for his next step in Glasgow.

Yamada is expected to join Celtic in a £1.5 million deal. The display from Frontale supporters was a touching send-off, thanking him for his time at the club and showing their support as he begins a new chapter in Scotland. The mood inside the ground was one of pride and emotion.

Players formed a guard of honour as Yamada walked off the pitch, and coaches presented him with a farewell gift. Club officials spoke warmly about the young forward, praising his progress and wishing him success at his new club.

Yamada, clearly moved by the scenes, addressed fans and media before leaving. He thanked everyone at Frontale, spoke about what he had learned during his time there, and said he was excited about joining the Scottish champions. While he did not mention when he might play his first game, he said he was ready for the new challenge.

The striker is now set to fly to Glasgow to complete the deal and take part in pre-season with his new teammates. Brendan Rodgers is said to be keen on his ability to play across the front line, press from the front, and add to the team’s goal threat.

This signing is another sign of Celtic’s push to bring in young talent from abroad. Back in Japan, fans stayed behind long after the game to show their thanks to Yamada. Their banner and chants were a clear sign of the bond they shared with the player.

Now he gets ready to swap the J-League for the Scottish Premiership and test himself at Celtic Park.
