During the week it was reported that young Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Liam Shaw had agreed a pre-contract deal with Celtic.
This appeared to be confirmed as the media were reporting comments from Lennon saying that the deal had been completed. The words of both Lennon and his assistant John Kennedy do suggest that this deal is done but we are yet to receive confirmation from any of the club’s social media platforms as of yet.
Today, Shaw made his first appearance since agreeing the deal and it hasn’t exactly gone to plan for the 19-year old.
After a yellow card late into the first half in Wednesday’s fixture against Birmingham City, he received yet another card in the second half which means the English Championship side have to play the final 40 minutes or so with 10 men.

Looking at the reaction from social media it does suggest that the red was a harsh decision, so it sounds as though Shaw has been extremely unlucky on this occasion.
