SFA To Investigate Celtic’s Latest Appointment

The SFA are investigating Celtic’s appointment of Gordon Strachan due to his roles at both Celtic and Dundee. The former Hoops boss started his consultancy role today but had also confirmed he would be staying on with Dundee.

Once the Scottish Football Association reaches their verdict on whether or not there is a conflict of interest he could be forced to choose between his role at Celtic or Dundee. None of the clubs consulted with the governing body before making an announcement which is a bizarre position to take. [Mail Sport]

The 64-year-old is currently the technical director at the Tayside club and wishes to remain so during his three-month spell at Celtic, but it was announced by Celtic on Tuesday evening that Strachan would assess the Glasgow club, however, he would not be involved with the first team. He would then feedback to Dom McKay providing his recommendations.

Dom McKay will hope that the arrival of Gordon Strachan will get fans on his side after a protest against the Celtic Board went ahead before the 6-0 win against Dundee on Sunday.
