Celtic are looking to maintain their winning momentum as they head to Tannadice this weekend to face Dundee United in the Scottish Premiership, fresh off their Premier Sports Cup triumph over Rangers.

However, before the fixture, there was a slight mix-up from the Scottish Football Association regarding the officiating team.
On Tuesday morning, the SFA initially announced that David Dickinson would be the referee for the encounter. Alongside Dickinson, Calum Spence and Craig Ferguson were confirmed as the assistant referees running the lines. However, the announcement missed a crucial detail — the VAR officials set to oversee the match.
Later on Tuesday, the SFA corrected the oversight and confirmed that Gavin Duncan has been appointed as the main VAR operative for the match. Assisting Duncan will be Andrew McWilliam as AVAR.
Brendan Rodgers’ side will head to Tannadice with confidence following their thrilling League Cup Final victory against Rangers, secured via a dramatic penalty shootout after a 3-3 draw in extra time. Celtic will be aiming to extend their lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership table and maintain their positive run of form.
With the correct officiating team now in place, attention can turn to the pitch as Celtic look to keep their title charge on track.
Fans will be hoping for a smooth encounter without the kind of VAR drama that has sparked controversy this season.
