SFA Confirm Glasgow Derby Referee

CELTIC will host Partick Thistle at Celtic Park on Wednesday night with a place in the semi-final of the League Cup up for grabs.

The last round saw Celtic struggle to overcome Dunfermline but the referee didn’t make it easy for the bhoys who should’ve had a penalty late in the game.

It’s always interesting to see who the SFA appoint to take charge of the game and we can confirm the man with the whistle on Wednesday night will be Steven McLean.

The referee will be flanked by Dougie Potter and Drew Kirkland with the fourth official Euan Anderson on the touchline.

Celtic are looking to defend their League Cup title for a fourth time in a row having won a treble of trebles. Neil Lennon is in no mood to let Celtic’s grip on the cup slip and won’t be making wholesale changes for the tie as he goes for the win.
