SFA Bracing For UEFA Conflict Over White Paper

BBC Scotland have tonight claimed the SFA and SPFL working group are getting set to go through the government’s white paper which is set to be published.

The paper will outline the laws which could come into place by the end of this month with regards to movement and what kind of events, if any, can take place in the coming months.

Emergency powers which will likely clash with UEFAs direction to finish the league season before the end of June.

With the virus not close to peaking in the UK yet, it’s currently not viable to get any real dates for a return to action.

BBC writes:

Senior figures in Scottish football will scrutinise the government’s Coronavirus White Paper before deciding the way forward for the domestic game.

The Coronavirus Bill, which will contain emergency powers, is expected to be fast-tracked through Parliament next week.

Celtic have stayed quiet so far on what they plan to do while the season is postponed. There was no word from the club if the bhoys will be training this week.

Many clubs have told their players to stay at home until they know more. Neil Lennon and the board are continuing to monitor the situation.

Right now, we all have to look after one an other and get past the worst of this pandemic.
