SFA and SPFL Locked in ‘Urgent’ Talks – Weekend Games Could be Cancelled

You couldn’t make this up.

But if you’re used to watching our Scottish football governing bodies make decisions, then this will come as no surprise.

After issuing a communication on Thursday night that all SPFL games would be going ahead as planned, it’s now been reported emergency talks are taking place.

MailSport chief Stephen McGowan has confirmed the talks are taking place Friday morning.

The Scottish and UK government have not helped the situation by banning mass events straight off the bat.

Right now, the games this weekend are still under review and there’s again uncertainty over the Glasgow Derby going ahead or just going ahead without spectators.

What a mess they find themselves in. We need clear and decisive leadership and it’s coming from nowhere.

Social distancing has to be done in order to stop the Coronavirus spreading. Having 50k inside a stadium on Sunday is reckless.
