Second Place Shay Logan Can’t Stop Talking About Celtic Fans

The Evening Express has spoken with Shay Logan about the ‘abuse’ he receives from some Celtic fans and they put it firmly down to the incident with Tonev and Shay – suggesting all the animosity between the fans and the player comes from that issue.

In reality, Shay Logan is a player who likes to play up to the galleries and he unashamedly admits it in his express interview.

Shay gets stick from the Celtic fans because of his demeanour, attitude and general idiocy while playing against the club on a regular basis.

From being on the general wind up, trying to rattle a ball off our captains face when he’s been kicked and tackled to the ground and taking petulant swings at our players – it’s easy to see why Celtic fans don’t care for him.

However, the express continually brings it back to the race issue with Tonev and that is not okay.

Speaking to he express logan said.

“I get abuse from them (Celtic fans), but the thing I don’t know if anyone understands, is that I love that stuff.

“If you want to have a go at me for whatever reason, bring it on – I never did anything wrong.

“Do I lose sleep over it? Absolutely not, I laugh at it so let them bring it on 60,000, 70,000 let them bring it on, I’ll be the one laughing.”

That’s all fine with us. We have a player in Scott Brown who likes to wind up opposition players and fans and does so quite successfully.

Scott Brown does it well because he has the talent and the medals to back up everything he throws out – Shay on the other hand? Well, he did celebrate second place quite vigorously at Parkhead and he has two runners-up medals for coming up short twice against Celtic in both Cup competitions.

Wee man and second place syndrome is a terrible combination.

Bring it on, eh!
