Sead Haksabanovic has made a prosperous start to life for Stoke City after joining the club on a one-year loan from Celtic. The Montenegrin internationalist left Glasgow following a controversial Instagram post at the end of the summer.
In the Midlands, the attacker has impressed so far. In four Stoke starts, the 24-year-old has scored one goal and assisted another. His performances have been up to the mark also.

Such form from Haksbanovic has prompted him to win his club’s Player of the Month award for September:
A fine first month in City colours.

In the English Championship, it appears that the treble-winner has found his level. At Celtic, he never got going but in the few weeks he has spent at the bet365 stadium, he has.
A step down in level in terms of the team the player is turning out for yet an upturn in form is no coincidence. It is encouraging to see Haksbanovic doing well, but one can’t envisage a world where he has a future in Glasgow going by past events.
